DocDigest compiles documents you upload into a single AI-ready Markdown digest. This page explains what we collect, how your files are handled, and how long anything is kept. It describes our actual practice, not aspirational policy.
What we collect
- Account data. If you create an account, we store your email address and authentication details so you can sign in and access your digests.
- Files you upload. The documents you submit for processing, and the digests we generate from them.
- Usage metadata. Basic processing records such as token counts, file types, and job status, used to run the service and show your history.
How your files are handled
Files are uploaded over TLS and processed in isolation. We use your files only to produce the digest you requested. We do not sell your files, and we do not use the contents of your documents to train models.
Retention and deletion
Uploaded files and generated digests are deleted on a retention schedule. The default retention for the free tier is 7 days, after which uploaded files and their digests are removed. You can delete a digest yourself at any time from your workspace.
Third-party processors
We rely on infrastructure providers for authentication, storage, and document parsing. These providers process data on our behalf to deliver the service and are bound to handle it accordingly.
Your choices
You can delete individual digests at any time, and you can request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing us.
